About this site

What this site is, how it makes money, and the rules it follows — stated plainly, because a review site that is vague about its incentives is not worth reading.

What this is

OurDream Comics Guide is an independent guide to the OurDream Comic Studio — the comic-building feature inside OurDream. We explain how it works, what it costs, what the community has made with it, and who should not buy it.

We are not OurDream. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by OurDream or Dream Studio USA, Inc. We do not host comics, we cannot access your account, and nothing you do here reaches them. Making comics happens on the official site.

How this site makes money

Some links to OurDream carry a tracking code and may earn this site a commission if you subscribe. That is the whole business model — there are no ads and nothing is sold here.

The obvious question is whether that buys favourable coverage. Our answer is in the pages themselves: the review says you cannot find out what the tool costs until after you have paid, the promo codes page exists mainly to tell you the codes other sites list do not work, and the comic generator page tells several kinds of reader to go and use something else. A page that only sells is worth one click; a page you trust is worth coming back to.

Rules we follow

  • No explicit material. We describe how content is classified, never what is in it. There are no explicit images or descriptions anywhere on this site.
  • No invented facts. Prices, page counts and figures are read off the product and dated. Where we have not verified something, we say so rather than estimating — which is why you will not find a coins-per-page number here.
  • No fake urgency. No countdown timers, no “verified today” stamps, no codes we have not used.
  • 18+ only. The subject is adult software and the site is gated accordingly.

Who writes it

Pages written in the first person are signed Marcus Lane, Editor. It is an editorial pen name — normal practice for a site in this category, where writing under a legal name has obvious costs. It is used consistently and never paired with a stock photograph of a person who does not exist.

Corrections and complaints are welcome on the contact page. If we have something wrong, we would rather hear it from you than from a reader who left.
