Trust check
Is OurDream safe to use?
Three different questions get asked as one. Whether the company is real, whether the billing is discreet, and what happens to what you make — answered separately.

What we could verify
- Who operates it
- Dream Studio USA, Inc. — named in the site footer on every page
- Company claim
- The checkout page states "trusted by over 50 million users". That is the company’s own figure, not an audited one
- Payment
- Standard card processing at checkout, in US dollars on every plan
- Subscription
- Renews until cancelled. The site states you can cancel at any time
- Age gate
- 18+ throughout — there is no all-ages section of the platform
- Support channels
- Public help desk, a Safety Centre, and an active Discord — all linked from the sidebar
- What you publish
- Comics posted to the community hub are public, credited to your handle, with visible read counts
Is it a real company
Yes. Dream Studio USA, Inc. is named in the footer of every page, and the operation has the things a thin affiliate funnel never bothers with: a staffed help desk, a published Safety Centre, an active Discord, and a community of users who post under persistent handles and accumulate read counts over months.
The “over 50 million users” line on the checkout page is the company's own marketing figure. We have no way to verify it and neither does anyone else outside the company — treat it as a claim, not a fact. It does not change the answer to the question being asked.
Billing and discretion
Payment is ordinary card processing, and every plan is billed in US dollars regardless of where you are. If your card is not a dollar account, expect your bank's conversion fee on top of the listed price — that is your bank's charge, not OurDream's, and it will not appear on the checkout page.
The site advertises discreet billing. In this industry that normally means the statement descriptor is a neutral company name rather than the brand. We are not going to print the exact string, because descriptors change and a stale one here would be worse than none — check it at checkout, which is the only authoritative place.
On cancellation: the site states you can cancel at any time, and that is how subscriptions of this kind normally work. The trap is not deception, it is arithmetic — an annual plan is charged for twelve months up front, so cancelling stops the next renewal rather than refunding what you already paid. If you are unsure you will stick with it, the monthly plan is the one that lets you leave cheaply, even though it costs more per month. The cost page has both sets of figures.
What is public and what is not
This is the part almost nobody covers, and it matters more here than on a platform where you only consume.
The Comic Studio is a publishing tool. Issues posted to the community hub are visible to everyone, credited to your handle, with their read and like counts on display. That is the hub working as designed — it is how the catalogue exists at all — but it means the decision to publish is a decision to be seen.
Practical consequences worth thinking about before you start:
- Pick the handle deliberately. It is attached to everything you publish and it is what people will search.
- Publishing is not required. Making comics and publishing them are separate steps; nothing forces the second.
- Read counts are public too. A work that lands badly does so visibly.
The real risks, ranked
- Spending more than you planned. The single most likely bad outcome. There is no published per-generation price, and re-rolls are where coins go. Set yourself a number before you start.
- Forgetting the renewal. Ordinary subscription risk, not specific to this platform, and the reason the annual plan deserves a calendar reminder.
- Publishing something you would rather not have. Reversible in the sense that you can unpublish; not reversible in the sense that the internet saw it.
- Generating likenesses of real people. The serious one, legally and ethically. Whatever a platform's filters do or do not catch, this is on you. Don't.
None of those are reasons not to use it. They are the four things worth knowing before you do. Our overall assessment of the product is on the review page.
Look before you subscribe
the catalogue costs nothing
- Full issues readable without a card or an account charge
- Yearly billing is cheaper per month but charged twelve months up front

Frequently asked questions
Is OurDream AI safe to use?
It is a real product from a named US company, Dream Studio USA, Inc., with ordinary card payments, a public help desk and a Safety Centre. It is not a scam. The genuine considerations are about billing you will forget to cancel and about what becomes public when you publish, not about whether the site exists.
Is OurDream a scam?
No. It bills through standard payment processing, operates public support channels including a Discord, and has a large community of users publishing work under their own handles. Those are not things a scam sustains.
Will the charge show up on my bank statement?
Yes — any card payment does. The site advertises discreet billing, which in this industry normally means the descriptor is a neutral company name rather than the brand. Confirm the exact descriptor at checkout if it matters to you; that is the only place it is authoritative.
Is what I make private?
Only until you publish it. Comics posted to the community hub are public, carry your handle, and display their read and like counts to everyone. That is the intended behaviour of the hub, not a leak — but it is worth deciding before you post rather than after.
Can I cancel any time?
The site states you can. An annual plan is still charged up front for the full twelve months, so cancelling stops the renewal rather than refunding the remainder — that distinction is the one people get wrong.
